Directions for Use

Control Asian Citrus Psyllid Using Low Volume Sprayers

Apply Sevin® XLR Plus using a low volume sprayer for maximum effectiveness against Asian Citrus Psyllid. Thorough and uniform spray coverage is essential for effective control.

Using SEVIN XLR Plus in an Asian Citrus Psyllid program introduces an IRAC** SubGroup 1A insecticide (carbamate) into a rotation with insecticides of different modes of action.

Restrictions and Precautions for Citrus Fruits Application Tips
  • Observe Bee Cautions
  • Do not apply within 5 days of harvest
  • Do not apply more than a total of 20 quarts per acre per crop
  • Use a minimum of 2 quarts of Sevin XLR Plus per acre for best results
  • Buffer water to neutral (pH-7.0) before adding this product to the spray tank. Consult the label for more information.
  • The total spray volume required for effective product performance can best be determined by previous experience with spray equipment, crop conditions and local recommendations.

Asian Citrus Psyllid (Diaphorina citri) 1.5 - 3 Repeat applications as necessary up to a total of 8 times but not more often than once every 14 days.

Use the lower rate on light to moderate infestations, young trees and early instar nymphs and use the higher rate on heavy infestations, mature trees, advanced instar nymphs and adults. Thorough and uniform spray coverage is essential for effective control.
